TIM PECK

RIBA, LEED AP, ISHC

CHAIRMAN

Every OBMI client benefits from Tim Peck, with his great enthusiasm and vast experience in architecture for the luxury market. He has designed hundreds of upscale homes, luxury hotels, and resorts in some of the world’s most spectacular places. Tim Peck sees architecture as a vehicle for connection – a way to create life-changing experiences that transcend design and material. It’s a philosophy that motivates and empowers the OBMI team, and that inspires the firm’s collaborative spirit.

Tim started his architectural career in London in the 1970s, working on the famed Barbican Art Center. He joined Chamberlin Powell and Bon as a project architect before embarking on what he imagined would be a year-long adventure with OBMI in the British Virgin Islands – a country he had never visited. The move resulted in a career that now spans nearly 40 years, with Tim leading the firm’s eight worldwide offices and heading up the Island Living practice.

A native of England, Tim is a LEED-accredited professional (LEED AP) and a registered architect in the United Kingdom (ARB). He is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), the European Resort Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and a founding member of the British Virgin Islands Society of Architects and Engineers. When he’s not traveling around the world with clients, Tim swims, sails, runs, bikes, and skis. He says his day job is his favorite past-time, and he will happily sit at his kitchen table for hours sketching out ideas for beautiful spaces.

“There is an immense satisfaction in designing this three-dimensional object that becomes part of the fabric of people’s lives.”
