"Building in some of the world’s most beautiful, sensitive, and vulnerable locations is a privilege that requires a deep level of care at every single stage of a project."

Anthony DeShields

LEED AP, BD+C, MCIAT

Chartered Architectural Technologist

Anthony ensures OBMI explores sustainable and innovative solutions for every design challenge we face. In 2005, he became Bermuda’s first LEED-accredited technologist. He provides LEED development for our residential and commercial projects – from design through to completion.

Anthony joined OBMI in 2005 as an Architectural Technologist. Today, he leads our Green Team (along with Denaye Hinds) and has provided sustainable development expertise for residential projects across Bermuda, including Longtail House, Bremar Residence, Woolf Residence, Lyceum Preschool, and Hawkins Island.

Since primary school, Anthony has loved seeing how things are built and knew early on that his future held a career in architecture, building, and development. He earned a Bachelor in Architectural Engineering Technology degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and developed an enduring interest in green building and sustainable design. Anthony is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (MCIAT), a LEED-accredited professional (LEED AP), and an associate member of the Institute of Bermuda Architects (BIA).
