Kien Hoong Chung

Architectural Designer

Kien has more than 30 years of experience spanning the world, with projects in the Caribbean, Singapore, Russia, China, Canada, and the U.S. He’s responsible for managing, coordinating, and producing architectural drawings for a broad-reaching portfolio of projects. Kien has experience in different sectors such as government, public buildings, commercial, luxury residences, hospitality, airports, high-rise, institutional/educational, health, and mixed-use development projects. With a multitude of projects under his belt, some of these include: Scrub Island Resort, The Wave Muscat, Peninsula Hotel Jakarta, the Government Legislative Assembly of Yellowknife, and the Musical Village in Yakutsk, Siberia. His enthusiastic personality coupled with his hands-on approach, make him an invaluable member of OBMI’s Urban Lifestyle Studio.

Educated in Kuala Lumpur and Toronto, with a degree in architecture from the Institute Technology Jaya in Malaysia, Kien is also a mountaineer and a runner. Both his leisure travels and his work have taken him from the most tropical Asian geographies to the Arctic Circle and back.
