"The key to successful design is capturing the spirit of our client, their vision, and the essence of the space. To transform dreams into reality, our process is anchored in collaboration and understanding."

Mitch Stuart

Director, Senior Architect

Mitch brings a level-headed, inspiring sense of purpose to his work at OBMI. Although he was educated in the U.K., he has designed primarily in the Caribbean, including Antigua, St. Kitts, and Tobago. His portfolio includes a mix of commercial, residential, and luxury hospitality projects, including Jungle Bay Eco Villas in Dominica, which promises to offer a 100% sustainable, "luxury eco" experience.

Notable projects with Mitch's fingerprints include Sugar Ridge Hotel & Residences, Plantana & the Retreat, and Half Moon Bay Hotel. His attention to detail and relationship-driven approach ensure OBMI clients always receive exceptional service.

Mitch studied architecture at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen, Scotland, and gained residential experience in York, United Kingdom. He joined OBMI in Cayman in 1997 and moved to Antigua in 1980 to re-open OBMI’s local office, where he steadily grew the project roster in both size and volume. Mitch left to live and work in London in 1998, before rejoining OBMI in 1999. He’s a Founding Member of the Antigua and Barbuda Institute of Architects (ABIA) and a Registered Architect in the U.K. (ARB).
