"Every beautiful space we design, whether it’s the highly anticipated Rosewood Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda or the new Jungle Bay Eco Villas in Dominica, offers us an opportunity to share our story with the world."

Rebecca Gutierrez

Director of Marketing

Rebecca embodies the collaborative spirit at OBMI. To strengthen and promote the OBMI brand, she interacts with every member of the team, our clients, and our partners. Early in her career, Rebecca created several precedent-setting marketing campaigns that are still in use 20 years later. She brings this kind of creative, big-picture thinking to her role at OBMI – turning marketing analytics and research into campaigns that showcase our luxury design expertise and produce results. And with a brother who's an architect and urban planner, it’s not surprising she embraces the team's creativity in every capacity.

Rebecca has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin, Master Certificates in both Hospitality and Tourism Administration and Marketing Research, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Florida International University in Miami. She shares her knowledge as a business and marketing professor, is a board member of several professional marketing organizations and a frequent presenter for marketing and hospitality industry events.

In over 18 years, she has designed, managed, or reinvented brand messaging for more than 20 companies, and oversees OBMI marketing initiatives at every touch point. When she's not sharing her marketing knowledge with her students, she is a traveler, life-long learner, and hobby sommelier, Rebecca unwinds by spending time outdoors, reading a good book with a glass of interesting wine by her side and exploring new cities by foot.
