Thomas McCartney takes pride in his design capabilities but sees human connection as the glue that binds all projects and brings them to a successful close. He understands how to build relationships with clients, and guide them through the complex architectural process. With deep expertise in creative and project management, Tom was instrumental in creating the first Caribbean ISO Certified Consultancy practice – a foundation that informed several mixed-use developments, shopping centers, and numerous residential and hospitality projects – all infused with Tom’s trademark attention to detail.
Educated in the U.K., Tom has established deep roots in the Caribbean during his 33 years in the design industry. He’s a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Architects (TTIA), and a Registered Architect with the Board of Architecture Trinidad and Tobago. He also belongs to several industry, retail, and urban development organizations, and is a recognized thought leader for his holistic approach to design and development. In his downtime, Tom finds creative inspiration in classical music and the beauty of nature. He says “heaven has touched down on Earth” in Lourdes, France, which ranks among his most memorable travel destinations.
