Tania Garces Joins Women of ALPFA Event at FIU
Tania Garces, CFO for master planning, architecture, and design firm, OBM International, shared her struggles and challenges to success as a Latina on the "Women of ALPFA" panel at Florida International University.
The Association of Latino Professionals for America at Florida International University is the largest business student association on campus and part of one of the largest professional organizations for Latinos in the nation. On April 7, 2017 ALPFA hosted a Women of ALPFA (WOA) panel discussion, where female leaders shared the struggles and challenges throughout their career while journeying to success. The event's intent was to empower female members, encouraging them to disregard workforce stereotypes and norms, and achieve their career goals. Additionally, the WOA panel discussion helped provide the general audience with advice on effectively transitioning from academia to the workforce.
