OBMI was selected to design the luxurious Pasito Blanco Resort & Spa in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands. Powered by OBMI’s extensive experience in architectural design and planning of resort destinations and communities, the team of architects will oversee every detail of the project’s design process, from conceptual design to the working drawings. As a 5-star, 160-room world-class hotel, Pasito Blanco will feature a full-service spa, several bars and restaurants, three pools, and a rooftop lounge.

The primary design goal for Pasito Blanco is to create a stately and majestic visual impact by allowing the structure to cascade down a hillside and gradually descend to the coastline’s rocky cliffs. Incorporating multiple levels, detached villas, sweeping docks, pools and patios, OBMI will integrate the natural contours of the land, to establish a dynamic flow throughout the entire resort.

“We are honored to have been awarded the Pasito Blanco Resort & Spa. There is a true sense of discovery in this magnificent project as we create a design that responds to the island’s early settlements and old town style,” said Doug Kulig, CEO of OBMI. “We are also thrilled to be working with Theo and Gregor Gerlach of Seaside Hotels, as they are a remarkable development team, who have made a significant impact on the resort industry in the Canary Islands.”
