OBMI was selected as lead architect for the Ritz-Carlton Cairo, Palm Hills, in Egypt. The firm revealed the final design concept of the 160-room luxury hotel, which features uninterrupted views of the Giza pyramids.

OBMI draws design inspiration from the country’s rich heritage and cultural influences. “Egypt offers a perfect canvas for us to create a timeless yet contemporary resort that greatly incorporates regional materials and historic traditions,” says OBMI CEO Doug Kulig. “Our holistic approach reflects the principles of sustainability as well as our dedication and attention to the sensitivity of local customs.”

OBMI’s design also calls for luxurious rooms and suites of the Egyptian skyline, spa, golf clubhouse, lobby lounge, all-day dining room, poolside grill, two specialty restaurants, grand ballroom, two swimming pools, health club, and shisha terrace.
