Celestial House

British Virgin Islands

Stellar Residential Design with High-Tech Observatory

Sitting in an elevated position above one of the island’s most renowned beaches, Celestial House is a stunning secluded retreat. OBMI architects created the custom residential design for this luxury home that expertly combines comfort, functionality, security and exclusivity. Upon arrival, the architecture for Celestial House resembles a traditional west Indian hillside village with a series of secluded, stepped pavilions. This layout accommodates a combination of living areas and bedroom suites to capture the feeling of indoor and outdoor Caribbean living.

An expansive wrap-around veranda encompasses the main section of the house, designed to encourage sociability around the breathtaking exterior. Once inside, the large Great Room is fronted by a spectacular 60 foot long curved infinity pool. The curve of the pool is framed by a cantilevered sun deck to the west and dining pavilion to the east. This design creates the dramatic appearance of the interior flowing directly into the Caribbean sea 500 ft below.

For a further appreciation of the skyline, the property is fitted to admire the magnificent stargazing opportunities afforded in the clear Caribbean skies. Celestial House features a unique, high-tech observatory that takes advantage of its exclusive hilltop location. To meet the home’s technological demands designers integrated an array of roof-mounted photovoltaic panels.
