The nautical theme begins with the boats that have frequented this paradise from nearby Puerto Rico, and the scrub of barnacles that made the vessels ready for their sea adventures. As that narrative unfolded, a marina would become a key entry point into the design story and the architecture surrounding it reminiscent of a vibrant fishing village. The heartfelt concept provides the warmth of character connecting it directly to the yachting community, so key to the sheltered location on the lee side of the island.

We seamlessly melded both a West Indian and Mediterranean design detailing, and as with all our work, kept a sense of place in making it feel part of the community. From the outset, we worked with local contractors tapping into their skills and employing techniques, methods, and local materials they were familiar with while orchestrating fine attention to detail and high quality. Ultimately it makes everything feel like it belongs, supports the local economy, generates local pride, and in so doing identifies it as part of the place and not placed upon it.
